CRWN On The Move: A Night At The Wing

CRWN On The Move: A Night At The Wing

Netflix is our go-to companion after work most days, but there is more to life than binge watching Insecure or Luke Cage. So we decided to live our lives and go to The Wing, a new women's-only social club. Afros, melanin, and wine — oh my.

We were there for good reason. Last week TresseNoire, in collaboration with The Wing, hosted their first Curls & Cocktails event. Curls and Cocktails is an event series that features discussion, curl consultation, hair demos, and of course good wine and mingling. The theme of this event was Hair Trends: Then vs. Now. Lindsey, boss lady of CRWN, moderated a down-to-earth discussion about Black women's relationship with their hair over the decades. Panelists included, A’Leila Bundles, Madame CJ Walker's great-great-great granddaughter and historian; Regina Gwynn, CEO of TresseNoire; and Tai Beauchamp, internationally-recognized style influencer, public speaker, media personality and entrepreneur.

It was super dope and we have photos to prove it. On a side note,  doesn't this space look like it's straight out of a Barbie dream house!

You know you can't resist afros, melanin, and wine. Click here to get your issue of CRWN Magazine.
