We The People: Juneteenth 2020

We The People: Juneteenth 2020

Join Van Jones, Elaine Welteroth, Jemele Hill and Killer Mike for a Juneteenth conversation about how to challenge systemic racism head-on.

Enough is enough. In the wake of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, and George Floyd’s senseless murders, Omar Johnson, former Beats by Dre CMO and ØPUS founder, is launching We The People: a social movement that advances necessary dialogue around race in America by making room for prominent BIPOC voices in business, media, entertainment, and beyond.

Starting tomorrow, Juneteenth, at 7PM EST, We The People will host a series of conversations that will dig into various aspects of society to understand how racial injustice exists in America. Hosted by Van Jones, tomorrow’s conversation will discuss how to combat systemic racism across the fields of media, culture, entertainment and sports. Van will be joined by guests Elaine Welteroth, former Editor-in-Chief of Teen Vogue; Jemele Hill, Writer for The Atlantic; rapper/songwriter, Killer Mike, and more.

The event will be hosted on the group video chat platform, Houseparty.
