In celebration of Black History Month 2017, radio host Karen Hunter, SiriusXM's African Ancestry Affinity Group and NAMIC-New York hosted a panel of African American "disruptors" — individuals enacting positive change within their industries and communities.

CRWN's co-founder, Lindsey Day, was invited to speak about her entrepreneurial journey, and other esteemed panelists included Shawn Wilson of the Ford Motor Company Fund; Michael Garner, President of One Hundred Black Men of NY; and Nikole Collins-Puri, the CEO of Techbridge Girls — an organization dedicated to encouraging girls of color with low income backgrounds to explore STEM fields.

The event served to amplify an informed dialogue about how we can all take steps today that will shape a brighter future for generations to come. Photo coverage of the event can be found below!

Audio of the event originally aired on SiriusXM Urban View (ch. 126) and can be listened to on-demand here: siriusxm.us/277055. Head to www.siriusxm.com/bhm to sign up for a free 30-day trial.
